SOURCE: driver's door hinge

You will have to Mcgyver it....You can cut the pin out but usually anything u put in there wil not last long. Also usually the pin goes and the hinge holes get oblonged making it impossibble too repair. I used to cut the hinge out Cause its welded to the frame on most and weld on a new one....

SOURCE: Door hinges breaking off my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado

The only correct way to repair that is to remove the door and have reinforcement plates welded into the inside. Otherwise, best option is to get another one from a scrapyard.

2002 ford explorer where to fine the factory keyless entry code

Okay in a couple of places provided the sticker is still there it is a 5 digit number in black on a white sticker for all locations (1) inside the glove box (2) on the lift gate hinges or on the frame (3) there's a smart box module near the fuse box to the left of the steering column (4)on the drivers door module behind the door panel //////the code will look like 1 of these 2 examples //// (1/2) (6/5) (7/8) (3/4) (9/0) this represents the 5 buttons on the key pad or this way in straight numbers 74629 but the first is most likely what you will find and after you punch in the correct code the drivers door will open then press 3/4 and all passenger doors will open 5/6 will open the lift gate ///////press 7/8+9/0 together to lock all doors ok your vehicle is to old to go to the dealer for that information but maybe they can look up the truck with the registration if it's still in the system you can try but after 10 years all parts and info mostly gets wiped out but it's woth a try if you can't find it on the module sticker but you can take it apart and it will be on the the circuit board or inside cover

2002 ford explorer, how to adjust the lift gate hinges?

You might want to check if a recall was issued for the lift gate hinges. At one time a year or two were recalled for faulty parts. If you bought used parts you may have bought defective ones.

Latch for lift gate on 2005 Jeep Liberty is in open position and will not accept the hasp from the lift gate so it stays closed.

It may be bent, dirty, out of position or need lubrication. Most manufacturers recommend spraying the door hinges and lock mechanisms with a white lithium grease once a year.

I need to replace the window hinge on my 2004 mercury mountaineer

At a point in time, Ford had a recall on some rear hinges. I don't remember which years were involved but if you let a Ford Dealer run your Vin# you may get free fix for your problem.

How do you remove the lift gate or rear hatch from my 2000 Dodge Durango? I see the bolt on the hinges but I don't know where to un plug the wiring..

I haven't had one apart, but i would guess behind the head-liner near where the harness passes through the body. similar to my wife's 08.

I can't get my 95 gmc tailgate to come off. I know that you usually open it alittle and it will come off. But mine will not. So I would like to know if there is a trick to taking a 95 sonoma tailgate off.

  1. Lower the tailgate to the horizontal position.
  2. Disengage the cable on the right and left sides from the striker bolts. To accomplish this, pull up on the middle of the cable assembly while raising the gate to a 45 degree angle, but be careful not to pinch the cable between the gate and bed.
  3. Remove the tailgate from the vehicle by lifting upward on the left side to separate the left hinge assembly, then disengage the right hinge.
To install:
  1. Install the gate to the vehicle by lowering the right hinge assembly into position first, then holding the gate at a 45 degree angle and seating the left hinge assembly.
  2. Engage the left and right cables to the striker bolts.
  3. Verify proper tailgate latching and operation.
