If this is the V6 engine, your oil filter should be a canister type filter, it should be located on the passenger side, underneath at the front of the engine. You should see what looks like a black cap (about the size of an oil filter) your oil filter is located inside this canister. Hope this helps.

I assume that you have a 1.8 engine. The oil filter is in a round metal housing under the engine; you have to remove the housing to access the cartridge type oil filter; the 1.8s do not have a "spin-on" filter.

Squeeze sides of glovebox together to remove from dash. look into hole where the glove box was There is a removable panel for the air filter. take it out and pull out the filter. make sure you note which way the filter is oriented. push in new filter and replace cover and glove box.
