I have a 2008 Honda Element. Today it was sitting idling and it started to make a strange screaching noise and then the engine started smoking. What could this be? I am a bit concerned about this!!

I suggest you check the drive belt as the smoke and the noise will be from something that has stopped tuning and the belt has be slipping . Check that all pulleys are free to move

My ac compressor is locked up on my 1998 honda acorrd 4 cyclinder and I want 2 bypass the compressor. Is there a smaller belt, or a kit I can buy??

AutoZone has a bypass pully for ~$40: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1998-Honda-Accord-DX/A-C-Compressor-Bypass-Pulley/_/N-jajs5Z91tb7.

You could also remove the belt, take a piece of string and measure around the remaining pulleys, tying off the string. Then take that string down to an autoparts store with the belt and get one that matches the width and ribs of the belt and the circumference of the string. You should be able to tension it up to the exact fit. However, make sure the belt in its new configuration isn't going to run into anything on the engine.

Screaching noice on passanger side and drained battery

It sounds like the alternator has went out. They have bearings in them that eventually wear out. When this happens, they can make a screaching noise, or the bearing itself can lock up, causing the belt to slip and make a similar noise. Both of these scenarios will get louder as you accelerate. When the alternator is not charging your battery correctly, your vehicles electrical system will drain the battery.

My 98 Honda accord has a knocking noise in the transmission only on take off or under load taking off

Sounds like a bearing in the transmission is bad and a rebuild is indicated. This can be expensive, and maybe not performed until the transmission gets worse performance wise.

I have a 2004 honda civic and it makes a droaning noise when i change gears, coudl this be an internal gearbox fault? i also have a constant screaching noise when driving when i slighly move the steering...

Pilot bearing or a throw bearing is what makes the noise while shifting gears and as for the steering noise, you either have low steering fluid or the steering pump belt is loose.
