I cant see where any bulbs have failed
I also had a problem identifying what exactly failed when I got this message. All the lights seemed to be fine. Then I remembered: on the ignition key/remote control there is a button for parking lights that light up the car so you can identify it. I turned it on and after a close inspection, a tiny light on the side of the rear lamp assembly, on the right side of the car, didn't work. And the car posted a persistent alarm notice about it. Duh.
If all of the bulbs are working you may have the wrong bulbs installed. Usually the taillamp bulbs are a 5 watt bulb.
For some reason every once in a while you find a S60 or S80 that uses a 4 candle power bulb instead.
If you put a 5 watt bulb in a 4 candle power car it will still set the light.
I'm sorry, butI don't know if you can find the other bulbs aftermarket or not.
Hope this helps.
SOURCE: My xc70 Volvo shows a message "bulb failure
"position light" is a rear parking light which has failed or become unseated. Sometimes you can knock on the tail light housing and they will come back on, but they burn out shortly after regardless.
These and the low beam headlamps fail very frequently on these cars so you should become familiar with the replacement procedures.
