I don't recall what those are like under there but things I have done to leave the transmission in are,
Pull the drive shafts and unbolt the transmission mount so it can be slid back but left in the truck.
Unbolt the mount (or leave it bolted if it will move enough) so the transmission still sits on it but jack the front of it up while lifting the motor so it can be pulled out of the trans enough to clear the input shaft.
Sometimes they take a little pull the motor forward and inch and then lift and inch then pull forward another inch and then lift another inch.....
Good luck on your swap. I was just doing the head on a 87 Nissan D21 with the Z24i and was looking for a later donar with ported injection for it instead of that TB injection also.
Speed sensor is most likely goin or gone out. It is located on the drivers side of the transmission tailshaft. Speed information runs through the cruise control and the computer to the speedometer.
They will work but you will need to also switch out the ecm, pcm, and possibly reflash both of those computers. It would work but it will cost you an arm an a leg just to make it operational, you will also have to fabricate a new crossmember for the transmission mount so the trans will be safely mounted. My recomendation would be to go back to original and save yourself many a dollars.any other questions get back to meHOPE I COULD HELP!!!
Your truck is going to take about 5.5 quarts.
Since your motor have some high miles on it, I would use non-synthetic 10w-30 oil that has the high mileage formula.
Synthetic will cause leaks on an old engine because the molecules are smaller and will go through gaskets easily. High mileage formula will help recondition the gaskets.
Would about for the transmission? Or is the 10w30 for both? Thx.
