But did you check the IOD fuse in the underwood fuse block? It is the one that has the retainer over it.

finally after 4 days of searching everything was ok ... my problem was my batterie! so if ever the odometer flashes the word fuse than its the IOD fuse OR you need a new batterie! thanks for trying to help me!

Check the IOD fuse in the under hood fuse block. If its o.k. then there is an issue with the IOD (ignition off draw) circuit. I should be able to get you some wiring info if you need it.

can it be a bad relay?

No it's not a relay. Check the fuses again. If they a good double check what you did when you pulled the dash apart. Not sure why you did that?

SOURCE: I just bought a 2000 Dodge neon for my nephew and it has 174000 miles. When I start the car and start going - sometimes the car will shake and make loud noise uner the hood and If let the gas padel go

Wow, that's a small list of problems to fix! If you are mechanically inclined, sounds like you need to start from ground zero. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for 3-5 minutes then reconnect the battery cable. This will clear out any old code readings. Then go to you local auto parts store and buy a basic code reader for your make and model ($30-$125). On the way to the auto store, the electronic computer control (ECC should recieve a fresh set of codes. Plug in the new code reader to the OBD-I or OBD-II port and see what kind of codes you get. This would be a good starting point. Please rate this response if you found this helpful, thanks.

SOURCE: No dash lights or odometer reading when you open

I would start by removing the pesky alarm. My encounter with alarms is they create more problems than they actually help a badly wired alarms systeme can be a true nightmare. My advice the best lock for your vehicle is the lock that locks the gas and brake pedal together best invention yet good luck

SOURCE: van started but then stopped - was unable to get

Hi, if there is an anti- theft system installed in your van, you mght have a faulty computer. I had the same problem and it was due to the anti - theft system. Ihad to replace the computer. If it is the anti- theft system, there would be a tiny red light continueously on in the instrument panel. I hope this helps.

2000 dodge neon when starting car the word fuse comes on and flashes on dash

FUSE in the odometer window means the IOD (Ignition-Off Draw) fuse in the Power Distribution Center under the hood is blown, removed, or has a failure in the wiring.

This fuse is removed during long-term storage on the dealer lot before the car is originally sold to keep the battery from being drained by dome lights left on, radio memory, etc. It has a yellow holder around it for quick identification. EVERY Neon built has one of these fuses; and every Chrysler product has one dating back to probably the original LH cars in '93.

Back light, dome light, front panel, radio, air not working

Try looking for a fuse box in the glove box. Even try opening both front doors and looking on the sides of the dash. O e other spit may be under the steering column. You will have to lay on the driver side floor looking up to find d it if its there

My 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan: The courtesy dome lights don't light properly, only very dim. I have not been able to identify what the cause is. Other interior lights work properly.

Remove the IOD fuse and leave out overnight this will reset the BCM and probably resolve the diming light and the dome light issue, I had the same prob in my 2006 Grand Caravan.

Below the odometer it indicates no fuse,

The IOD fuse is missing or burnt out. IOD is "ignition off draw" which serves as the dome lights, radio memory, locks and other things powered with the key off.

No dome light or radio

It's the IOD fuse. Trust me, I just fixed the exact problem on my '98 not ten minutes ago. The fuse is located in the fuse box inside the driver's side door. It will be the fuse on the bottom and toward the front of the panel with a black cover over it. Just pull the fuse holder straight out and snap the hinged cover forward to expose the fuse. Just a standard 10 amp automotive fuse and you're back in business!

2004 dodge neon fuse problem.

The dome tight is actually a combo fuse/light. If that light is burned out; 1 the locks won't work, and 2 the odometer will flash "FUSE" and 3 the "DOOR" warning light will stay on - try replacing the bulb. If it stays on with all the doors closed, more then likely one of the switches that are built into each of the door latches is not making the correct contact to shut off the dome light/dash light. The correct fix is to replace the defective latch. The other option is to just cut the wires that feel the switch inside the door - then the car will think that door is always closed and the lights will not come on when you open that door.
