For the seat bottom, you just need to pull it up. The seat backs would have to be unbolted.

First you must look closely at the caliper and determine if it is sticking on the slide or is the piston sticking. If it is the piston you would have to rebuild the caliper or replace the caliper. If it is the slides, you need to sand and clean all the slide contacts and lube the slide with lithium grease or never seize grease. Then you can reinstall the caliper and you will be fine. Also when checking if the piston is sticking try loosening the line and see if it retracts, if it does you may have a bad flex hose going to the caliper holding pressure on the caliper.

Hex size brake calibar to take it off

The hex size to remove the brake caliper on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee is typically 17mm or 11/16 inches.
It's important to use the correct size socket or wrench to remove the brake caliper, as using the wrong size can cause damage to the caliper and/or the brake system.
When removing the brake caliper, it's important to take the proper precautions to prevent damage to the brake system and ensure safe operation of the vehicle. Always support the caliper with a wire or a bungee cord to prevent it from hanging by the brake hose.
Additionally, it's recommended that you work on one brake at a time, so that you have a reference point for the position of the caliper and the brake pads.

What size allen wrench do I need to remove the front brake calipers

I'm not sure of the size. I have an allen socket made for GM brake calipers!! But i would guess it is a metric size, maybe a 12 mm. Call an auto parts store and they can pull the tool and tell you with a phone call. Good luck.

I am trying to replace the disk brakes on a 2002 grand Cherokee need to replace pads and rotors, but can't get the calipers off. Is their a special tool to get the pins out?

You don't really have to remove the caliper pins to replace the pads or rotors. If you look on the inside of the caliper, you will see two large bolts, I think they take an 18mm socket or wrench. Remove them, then using a large screwdriver, pry the pads apart. The caliper should now drop down. Be careful not to hang them from the brake lines, set them on something. You should now be able to remove the pads and rotors.

Rear caliper bolt size 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo

If you mean to remove bolt, they are a metric allen size. To replace, you need a special pin / sleeve type bolt, available in sets at the auto parts store for around $14.

What size allen wrench to remove front brake caliper

i just changed my front rotors and pads on my 2001 escape, 6 cylinder. everyone was wrong on the wrench sizes, including the idiots at my local ford dealer. to get the brake calipers off I needed a 7mm hex bit. to get the caliper bracket off I needed an 18mm socket, it was a very easy job but check your wrench sizes first, it seems that every year and model uses different sizes.

I am changing disc brake pads on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Where are the bolts holding the caliper and what size socket is needed?

They may not be bolts, might be the allen wrench type, on the back side of the calipars, one on top and one on the bottom. Not sure what size.
