1997 dodge 2500 with the cummings diesel, For quite a while now even when not pulling it seems that stepping on the accelerator the truck starts to jump continuously and continuously shaking which will stop only by letting off of the accelerator . This certainly is not normal. It seems like a job in itself to maintain acceleration without having the truck jumping around while bouncing and shaking. One can just sence during the shake that it is not the greatest for the wellbeing of the powertrain. Truck engine all in all seems to run good and the auto. transmission shifts good and seem OK overall as well. PLEASE HELP!!
I have a 1998 2500 Ram with 5.9L cummins. I have a delay in my wait to start light I turn the key ahead wait a while then the wait to start light comes on then after that The truck will start but not until the light comes on
IT SOUNDS LIKE THE LIFT PUMP OR POSSABLE FUEL RESTRICTION CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER ALSO CHANGE THE AIR FILTER IF THAT DOSENT FIX IT YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE OUT OF THE LIFT PUMP BEFORE YOU WASTE THE INJECTION PUMP
