You have a Blown Head Gasket.. It is a 4.6 Northstar Engine. Very Common around 90-105K

SOURCE: rough idle after warm up

I'd take a look at the temp sender...the engines computer may be "thinking" the engine is still cold when it's not. That would cause it run rich (and rough) after it's warmed up. Generally the sender can be tested with an ordinary volt/ohmeter but you will need the specifications available in most inexpensive manuals. As with any complicated electronics system, I can only give you my best guess, without the luxury of doing any hands-on testing myself.

It'll be located under your hood underneath the plastic shroud at the base of your window. You'll need to remove a couple of the retaining clips in order to lift the shroud up in order to access the filter. All you need to do is pull the old filter out once you have enough room and slide the new on in

Check out this thread and take your Caddy for a couple of Wide Open Throttle runs on the Interstate. Clears out the carbon buildup on the rings that is causing oil blowby.

What's the easyest way to hot wire a 2000 Cadilac DHS

There isn't one. The 2000 DTS has a VATS security system. The car has to have the right key in the ignition for the system to turn on the fuel pump and the ignition system. Without those, the car no run.

2002 Jetta 1.8T blew 40A cooling fan fuse - overheated, destroyed 4 way cooling hose connector - replaced all- now it still runs very hot, inside temp reads 190 (but temp is much higher), cooling fans run...

Then replace the thermostat, because if on lower hose not hot and on upper hose scalding hot = antifreeze flow blocked by the thermostat wich remains closed!!!

Our 01 devill dts is overheating new radiaor,

That car holds 8 quarts of oil. Thats why its still low. You may have head gasket problems. Find a shop that is familiar with your Northstar engine, its going to be big bucks.

some places that specialize in windshields and also replace rear windows. if you have that fansy roof upholestry. that is glued on by the factory. it's going to look like **** when they are done...best bet is to shop around at different shops to see if they can replace it without screwing up the cars look.

Overheating

thermostat should put back in. reason is,it give your radiator chance to cool the water before the next cycle back to the engine. and maybe check your waterpump might be broken in the inside.

Serpentine Belt Replacement

serpentine belts should be replaced when cracks are running across"v" portions of belt,when missing ribs 1/2 " or longer,or cracks running parallel to "v" portion of belt. the thermostat should be replaced if the car seems to take a long time to warm up or if the engine runs hot

The car keeps overheatnig. It was good for a minute after putting some coolant in it, but when you drive it or just turn it on sitting in the driveway after about 2 minutes the therometer is all the way up...

if its the thermostat your lucky easy fix just replace it but wait until the engine is cold the bolts are a nightmare to get to you have to take off air hose and disconnect a couple coolant hoses move them aside to get to the thermostat housing on the side of the engine tricky getting to that bolt.

if its the head gasket flush the radiator with flushing agent
first drain the coolant from bottom radiator hose replace with flushing agent run car idle about 10 minutes then
remove the thermostat replace the thermostat housing then fill the coolant back up leave room for blue devil head gasket sealant about $65.00 follow the directions to the tea run for 50 minutes if it doesn't work that baby needs to get in the shop
