I can't find the keyless entry code (for the push buttons on the drivers side) for my 2004 ford freestar sport. I don't have the owners card either.
do I have to re-program the little remote thing too?
The code is on the fuse box under the dash near the hood release. On my van there are two bar codes on a sticker attached to the fuse box. Under the first bar code, on the right side is the 5 digit code (bring your glasses the numbers are really small). After you get this code, just search the internet and there are plenty of forums on programing the keyless remote and also adding your own unique number to the key pad entry.
Good Luck
It's on a plastic card in your owner manual packet.
I think it's also on the module.
Also, you can go to dealer with 17 Digit VIN and ID and they can call FOrd or retrieve from module with diagnostic tool.
I found the factory code on a white sticker above the inside fuse panel.
You need to remove the fuse panel cover because it blocks the view.
Reading glasses and a flashlight are helpful ??
Here's an article that explains where to find the factory set code and how to reprogram your keyless entry for a Ford Freestar. These instructions work for model years 2004 through 2007. Reprogramming Keyless Entry for Ford Freestar without Factory Set Code
