Vw citi golf 1300 gearbox, stuck in 3rd gear while driving??? It is not the linkage. What is the problem and how do I fix it??? Please assist. I removed linkage and gear lever is free.

Dis canekt the batrey 4 10mins and than leter it till it gows up a ger and chek the oil in it
sorry pal i thort it woz a auto just rok it back and forwood wen in 3rd it shud reles then chaj the oil if that duz not do it get a new box of a 16v gti or cheg the salecter fork in sid but thats a t..t of a job cos you have 2 take the box of so if you do that you may as well chag it !!!!!!!

it is stuck, it feels as if it will break if i force it. I do think the oil needs changing.
cant put in reverse gear
My 2006 Citi Golf hazards goes on by itself, and sometimes does not want to switch of. I have to remove the battery terminal to prevent battery from running down. What solution is there?
