No parking lights, fuse keeps blowing.

The fuse keeps blowing that controls the parking lights, power sliding door, dash lights, lic. plate light. Only blows when I turn on the parking lights. If I replace the fuse and don't turn on the lights the power door works. Head lights work fine. As soon as the parking lights are turned the fuse blows. I have checked all the bulbs and replaced the headlight switch. What to try next?

It is a 1995 not a 99 as stated. Never thought of looking for a bad ground only hot wires. I will look more closely at grounds.

Where is the fuse for my tail lights on my 2010 ML 350 Mercedes?

this is 2010 not 1990 the fuses DO NO RUN PARK lamps directly.
like they did from 1920 to say 1999. sorry.
TAIL is PARK and PARK has up to 10 or 12 lamps.
all side, front and rear park lamps glow and Rear lic plate too
and even some side mirrors too.
so all are dead?, not told if some many lamps, and MATTERS most.
you skipped step 1, scan the OBD2 port. for DTC errors, oops
why skip step 1? a challenge to learn why BCM fails?
this is no 1990 car, or older, it is 2010. evolution happened and BCM too. the body brain (by any name)
the German manual calls them
standing and parking lamps and DRL controls.
read the wiring schematics here
https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp

there is front and rear sub body controller for lamps too;.
on this car and if the CAN_bus network, fails to that module
everything there fail. scan the PCM and see all errors
or check all fuses for blown, and if non blow, scan the OBD2 port under dash.
USA answers, nothing else. me.

Location of fuse for lic plate lights on 2005 caddy cts

The dimming fuse supplies battery positive voltage to the license lamps, underhood lamp and to the dash integration module (DIM) park lamp input, for interior lamps dimming.
Dimming fuse 10 amp. under hood fuse box. the park lamp relay supply's battery power to that fuse .

My taillights, dash lights, and license plate lights fuse keeps blowing out why?s10 88 pickup

The dash lights should be on a different fuse from the parking lights.
You'll have to figure out which circuit, then check the lamp sockets and wiring for a short to ground.

Parking, tail and lic plate lights are not turning on. But the headlights, hazards and turn signal all work

On "most" vehicles, the parking, tail, lic plate AND dash lights are all on the same circuit. Usually, the fuse will be labeld "park", "tail", or "illum".
If you have dash lights but no park lights, it's likely that there is a break in the wiring somewhere...

the fuse is called fuse #10 (fuse 10 runs hazards too, are haz dead?)
box one in cab, and 2 in engine bay.
the HAZ fuse is marked, HAZ

park/dash dim all dead, this is the largest path in car, over 20 lamps on most cars. (lots of places to mess up)

even the license plate lamp>>>> details?,,,,, help, im blind..
here ill login to alldata.com for you, so can you at anytime.

ok this car can have a tail light relay. the LX dont have one.
the combo switch (1st click ) turns on park(tails)
and the relay energizes and runs all the park lamps.
but not on the LX, the LX is switch direct drive to all parks.

2009 ford escape turn signals and brake lights work but no taillights checked bulbs look good no where in owners mannual does it list tailight fuse or location

I think your problem locating the fuse may be because Ford refers to the lights you are describing as "PARK" lamps, instead of "TAIL" lamps. The PARK fuse is Fuse #22 (15 Amp) located in the Smart Junction Box (SJB) in the center of the dash.

HINT: This same fuse also protects the circuits your front park lamps, if they are working, the fuse is not blown.

1996 ford escort has no dash or parking lights.

tracing short circuits can be tricky you need a good electrical knowledge and a bit of luck.what items are not working when the fuse has blown? concentrate on these items first follow the wiring back from these loads looking for chafed wires . if you cant see anything put in a fuse and switch the affected loads on one at a time until the fuse blows when this happens youll know which circuit to concentrate on.
