if all other doors work the door lock actuator needs replaced most likely. if door switch works the same. if not then it could be a bigger problem in the circuit or remote control module. use a meter to test for signal to lock actuator. if no signal then ck control unit. if signal replace lock actuator.
Since work was recently done to the vehicle I would look to see if any connections were left unplugged or inadvertantly knocked loose. Make sure to check the battery terminals and cables to ensure tightness and a solid connection.
sounds like an engine immobilizer problem. close all doors,hood & trunk completely. lock and unlock the car three times with remote, then put key in door lock and lock & unlock three times.
