2002 actros 3348 seems to have a diesel knock! Any idea what type on injectors it takes?

what is the year make and model of your car or truck we can not give you answers with such vague and incomplete description of your problem.

diesel hard starting problems are from cranking speed too slow , low fuel pressure at the injectors
tank venting problems , fuel leak back from faulty non return valves
have the fault codes read first

diesel knock is from bad injectors
that can be leaking injector tips or squirting and not atomizing
take them to a specialist diesel shop for cleaning and resetting

ur problem seems ignition--inspect distributer cap inside or test coil--worn plugs and cables will also giv a weak spark---cant tell health of electrics from outside--wear is usually internal-----------may want to do a datastream scan of vehicle--it uses factory gear-private shops not dealers do this

Do you have any air pressure to start your diesel engine?

put oil in before driving it again! do not drive with less than the minimum mark on the dipstick covered in oil

any smoke could be a fuel knock if u have a injector leaking off.

Hi,my 92 prado started making a knocking sound recently,we couldn't pin it down to one spot in the engine.
The knocking was constant at low revs and then disapeared.
Turned out to be the tourque converter knob had bust of and eventually destroyed the fly wheel and the transmission pump.
Definatley check under top cover and also drop off the sump to check for loose nuts etc.
