How do you switch on the rear fog lights on a 2004 jeep cherokee uk model . The front fog lights work. Should the rear fogs come on when you switch on the front fogs or is there a seperate switch somewhere? I assume the rear fog light uses the bottom bulb in the tail light cluster because this bulb does not seem to do anything else. The bulbs are ok and so is the fuse in the fuse panel that is allocated for the rear fog light (export only)

If it didn't come with fog lights, it may also have not included a fog light relay and/or fuse. Check the owner's manual for fuse and relay locations, and then check if the necessary parts are there.

Rear fog light not working.2004 toyota rav4

I guess that your refering to the backup lights? They have their own fuse and aren't imune to having the bulbs burnt out. The bulbs are easiest to check as they may be black in color or knocked out of their holders. The back up light switch is part of the neutral start switch and they will have other problems like no start if it's bad. wiring and their plugs are also possible mainly if the car as been in an accident or other bending action.

The fog lights on my santa fe want turn on when the switch is depress

hi from uk if your front and rear fogs are of the same specification as uk models of hyundai ? these front and rear fogs although the switches are on these lamps will not operate till you turn headlight on dip beam reason being that if weather conditions req fogs on then you should have rear and front side light and head lights on however if you inadvertently forget to switch front or rear fogs off when you turn other lights off when parking car ? you will/should hear the warning bleep as you open drivers door as you would if side/rear lights are still switched on ? hope this helps?

How do I change the buld on my fog light?

Jeep WJ 1999-2003 - Front Foglamp (#9055)

The foglamp bulbs can be accessed and removed from underneath the bumper without tools, although it is a tight fit. Turn the lamp socket 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to remove from the rear of the housing. Note that the screw in the front of the foglamps is for alignment only and does not remove the outer lens. The fog lamp housing is attached to the fascia with two nuts which can be removed with a 10mm socket.

Fog lamps can be added to most Laredo model WJ's that came from the factory without them. Mopar kits are available that include two fog lights, wiring harness, and steering column switch. Click HERE for part numbers and other information on these kits.

It's definitely the switch...I bought two of 'em so far...known bug. I don't use the fog lights as much anymore , but the "Airtex" oem equivalent switch from Rockauto seems to be holding up well. If you dissamble your broke switch you'll probably see evidence that it is beginning to melt and theres alot, maybe too much, grease, which may or may not have been the cause of the bad, heating contacts inside switch.
If I remember right, even though the foglights have a relay there is still full amperage going through the switch or something....don't qoute me on that last statement.

How to change fog light bulb on 2004 jeep grand cherokee

There's a small space behind inside fender. You can get your hand in there to grab and twist the back of the bulb to release it. You need a flashlight.

Can't turn on the fog lights

hi from uk if you are meaning rear fog light/s ? they will be on the switch that has a picture of lamp with horizontal lines ? these will only work with headlight on also if you are meaning front drive/fogs then the same goes for these ie a similar switch near to lights switch or you may have to turn on h/lights then pull outwards the actual switch as on uk cars? the idea being if weather conditions req fogs then h/lights must be on also preventing driving on fogs only and no obligatory side/tail and h/lights here in uk hope this assists you locating switch ? wish you merry xmas

Front Fog Lamps

My guess is you have a corroded wire (that has shorted out the connection); known problem for this vehicle.
