I to have a 1988 Daimler 3.6 vanden plas. I would greatley appreciate if some one could let me know about any information on this model, ie; what made the vdp different from the standard daimler 3.6, production numbers and origional cost. In regards to your question, my daimler also said it had fuel failure. I put some injector cleaner in with the petrol and the warning hasnt come up since. As for the circuit 2 failure, it could be numerous things, but start with checking the fuses in the left side fuse box. It could also mean that a light bulb or other elecrical item has a broken circuit somewhere.

2004 Jaguar, Vaden Plaus, car just quit running going down the road. Had to have it towed home Won't start, turns over, just won't start, says Restricted Performance.

Sounds like it is some type of 'limp home' mode.
It could be anything. It might be as simple as a bad Fuel Pump Relay. When you turn the Key to the ON position (not Start) can you hear a little buzz for about 1 second? That would be your fuel pump running. You need to see if the engine is getting gas and spark.

How do i reset the engine control module in my 1995 jaguar vanden plas 4.0 will this reset ALL setings because i think this car needs it had 3 owners and cant seem to get memory and othe little things.

I'm not sure what you mean by "reset" but have a look for an OBDII / EOBD AUTO SCANNER (there's usually one or two on ebay.) Is that the sort of job you want to do?

Heavy gas smell on 2000 jaguar vanden plas

check for a bad fuel filter or a leaking rubber line after the fuel pump . To dump that much fuel so quickly ,the fuel pump is pumping to a broken /split hose or steel line.

Have a 2001 jaguar vanden plas. It won't start. It cranks fine battery is good but it won't turn over. I have been told could be fuel filter and or fuel pump. If you agree how do i change

To confirm that is is the fuel pump at issue here get a can of spray starting fluid and next time it won't fire up spray it into the air intake hose of the engine while someone cranks the engine over, if it lights right off then the pump may be the problem. A clogged fuel filter may cause loss of power but seldom if ever a no start.

Jaguar Vanden Plas 1996 where is fuel filter located?

The fuel filter is an inline type, and is located up under the Driverside rear wheel arch. If you get underneath and look up and behind the rear coil spring you will see it. just follow the fuel lines from the tank. It's a bit tight and you will get covered in fuel but it's doable.

Fram's number is G3727, which is the same used on my '04 Chevy Suburban. You'll need to release the fuel pressure by unscrewing the gas cap first. Also, you'll need some wrenches to hold fast both at the filter and line ends, plus some rags and a coffee can to catch/absorb the fuel that will spill out of both the filter and the line; you'll loose about 1/2 a cup. Good luck.

1988 Jaguar Vanden replace headlight

What you need to do is remove the 2 screws on the top bezel from inside the engine bay, then underneath the outer corner of the plastic headlamp surround there is a philips screw, (put your head under neath car near from wheel) loosen the screw, do not remove it, now the headlamp plastic bezel/surround will come free enough so you can get a philips screwdriver in through the middle of the headlamp surround, there is a chrome retaining ring holding the headlamp in place, loosen the 3 philips screws (do not remove) The retaining ring will rotate and you can slide the ring out from the outer edge of the headlamp surround. The headlamp will then come out throught the middle of the surround, disconnect the 3 pin multiplug and reverse process for install.
