Best bet is to spend $20 on a haynes or Chilton repair manul. This will come in handy in the future for most did repair jobs and is well worth the money.

Go to the scooters website and download the service manual. It will tell you why it beeps and how to fix it. Bypassing the brake is unsafe and dangerous as the brake will not stop the scooter or hold it on an incline. That may have been your original problem (the brake)

You can check you local library.Most auto parts stores have them on hand or you can order on line.I found chilton repair manul for Ford Ranger, Explorer, and Mountainer, 1991-99 from $5 use up to $30 new.Haynes also have repair manuls but thinking chilton would be better for your application.

A Maintaince/repair manual can be found at an Auto Parts Store for less than $20. Normally, it's a HAYNES or CHILTON manual.
