STRONGLY recommend that you add SEA FOAM (TRANSMISSION) to your Transmission and then after driving for a few days, have your Transmission serviced and see if the sticking goes away. There is a Build Up of junk in the passages inside your transmission and into your Solenoids....

if it has an automatic OD then more than likely it has a lock up tourqe, google where the connection is and unplug the lock up selnoid and see if that helps or downshift manually and see what it does!

My 2004 chevy optra (auto) is having problems when downshifting. Whenever I am coming to a stop it jumps/downshifts really hard before making the stop. What could be the problem?

FIRST CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL MAKE SURE ITS CORRECT.IF FLUID LEVEL OKAY SOUND LIKE STICKING SHIFT VALVES.CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID + FILTER.GET SOME TRANSMEDIC ADD 1/2 TO NEW TRANSMISSION FLUID THIS HELP FREE STUCK SHIFT VALVES IN VALVE BODY DONT OVER FILL ADD IT IN.BUT DONT OVER FILL TRANSMISSION.IF THIS DONT HELP.YOU COULD HAVE VALVE BODY PROBLEM.

Transmission won't downshift when coming to a stop.

a sticking valve in trans. you may be able to ad a trans cond. to it and help free it up seafoam is about the best you can get it at your local parts store. make sure it's the one for trans. in comes in a metal type bottle red and white lettering. it may take a day or twos driving before it works.

Does it kill the engine? The th125 transmission is know for converter clutch solenoid problems.

2007 Lincoln MKZ Transmission goes CLUNK on low speed downshift

sounds like an electronic fault caused by the mini computer controling the gearbox functions,try another dealer as dealer only as good as the mechanics it employs.and like the old adage if you only pay peanuts you only get monkeys.but thinking about it ,their is a possibility of a piston sticking in the box thats controling the brake bands.buy a manual next time

1988 Chevy Suburban transmission

bad design flaw with the transmission kick down cable make sure you are in OD first but if you are then this cable is adjustable it is next to the throttle cable and tells the trans when to downshift only adjust very little increments as this can easily blow your tanni as you may already know this feeling
