I need to change the left rear abs speed sensor on my 2010 dodge avenger, where is it located
It is located on the INSIDE of the Hub Assembly. Look for a Speed Ring (Will put a picture below) and then there will be a Black Wire that goes very close to the Tone Ring (Speed Ring). You will see it when you take the Wheel off. Not hard to change unless it is Corroded.
Many times, when someone thinks they need to replace it, what they really need to do is CLEAN IT. It is a Magnet that senses the Magnet Moment and with the pulse Speed, they are able to read the SPEED of the Vehicle and if a wheel is slipping.
SOURCE: my abs lite is on and code says left rear sensor
1. Remove the left rear tire
2. Remove the left rear sensor
3. Install the new sensor
