I have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited and this past week I went to start the jeep and it wouldn't start, after about 10 minutes I started the jeep and gave it a little gas and she fired right up. I drove the jeep bout 5 minutes and it died. Then the jeep would not start at all, so I had to have it towed. It acts like its on empty, but it has a full tank. We pulled the fuel tank down and replaced the fuel pump. Any other ideas? Thanks!!

Since you allready replaced the fuel pump I would verify that you have spark to the spark plugs when it wont start and/or when it dies.Once you have done this send me an ansewer and we will see if we can get to the bottom of your problem.

Jeeps have a part called the crank sensor, when working properly it senses the electrical feild produced by flywheel. This crank sensor which is located on top of the tranny bell housing has been known to go bad. When this crank sensor goes bad the CPU does not get a crank reference and the computer will not fire the injectors. This crank sensor will fail under high temps and if it is old will fail also when cold.
You have to find out if the injectors are getting a pulse when the car does'nt start.

Hi
Pop into to your local garage and have a diagnostic test carried out.
Listen to the advise given. It may save you lots of money, especially if you start the "guessing" game.
It does sound like a part may be blocked or failed though, but the sytem needs to be tested thoroughly first.
Good luck

there is a blower motor resister. it creates a lot of heat sometimes melting the electrical plug. check the plug for signs of melting and check the resister for deformation. Both parts can be purchased at rockauto.com

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Not Starting Intermittently

Check the battery. If it starts to fail it will start doing any conceivable thing including failing to start the car. Have the battery checked with a load tester. A simple voltmeter will not give an account of the requirements needed and the ability of the battery to meet those requirements.

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO IM TOTALLY BAFFLED

Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Alternator issues?

have the alternator regulator and diodes tested. sometimes when the regulators fail they allow ac voltage to go to the battery. ac voltage doesn't charge the battery properly (causes it to deep cycle and shortens its life) and causes all sorts of funny problems with the car. also make sure the battery is secured properly, vibration isn't good for them at all.
