1998 Mercedez E-320 air condition turns on and after 3 or 4 min. the compressor turns off and i wiat for 3 min. and it turns on again. This keep's repeating.The compressor was repaired.

Are you sure that the belt only turns the AC compressor? Be sure that it's not also connected to the fan and the power steering pump. If it's only turning the air conditioning compressor then you can live with it for as long as you can live without air conditioning.

Turn the air conditioning off, when it does that. The compressor is working too hard, and there may not be enough coolant or oil running thru the system, causing a lot of drag on the pulley belt, causing the truck to **** and "get weak". Have your air conditioning system completely checked before operating it again.
Try to change washer between compressor and compressor clutch. This is very often problem in Mk3. After the time the clutch is thinner and needs also thinner washer. Hope it helps
if you have air what i can recomend is to turn the air conditioning on make sure the radiator fans are on and with the a/c compressor still runing set the cold and heat inside the dash board to the hotes and leave the car runing and keep addind 50/50 mix ANTIFREEZE TO THE RADIATOR UNTIL IS FULL you need to keep there until teperature is normal and no more air trap
