You have to remove the door panel to access the wiring harness from the mirror to the door switches

SOURCE: How do I replace a lowbeam headlight bulb on a 2008 GMC Acadia

You will have to go through your mud guards. Remove your tire, and look inside your wheel well, you will see two part mud guard, front half and back half. Just remove the 7 screws from the front half, 5 on the wheel well itself, and two on the bottom, retaining screw to the bumper, now depending on which side you're looking at anywhere from 5-7 plastic pop-its. Use a flat tip screw driver to loosen the pins up, then remove the pop-it studs. There are two on the bottom front that connect to the vehicle frame. Once this is removed, you can access your headlight assemby to replace both bulbs. Note, you will have to do this to replace your fog light bulb should it go out as well.

SOURCE: How do you change the halogen bulb in the

under the hood there will be a large, plastic weather cover to unscew by hand, remove the 3 pin connecting plug, there will be a spring loaded clip holding in the globe, depress the looped end and divert it over to one side thsi will release the globe, assembly is in reverse, be careful as not to touch the end og the globe, as the oil on your fingers are detremental to its operation. No special tools required to do this. Good luck

SOURCE: GMC Acadia Battery?

I have been having this problem after 40K miles now. I dont know if its the battery or the fact that GM, in all its infinate wisdom (NOT) decided to use a LAN system for everything in the car. This means that EVERY circuit is ALWAYS powered, whether the car is on or not. This is why, if you try to find a switchable fuse to tap into for a radar detector or Garmin you wil be unsuccessful. Also, this is why the cigarette lighters always on. Im not sure what the actual load is on the system when the car is off due to the LAN being powered, but it could be enough to kill the battery after a couple days if the alternater hasnt been run to charge it up.

i have had a radar detector hooked up for about a year now which is ALWAYS on, even when the car is off and it has finally started to take its toll on the battery, I think. The problem isnt your specific car, its the way they designed ALL of them.

Open the hood and look in the area behind the headlight itself. You will see the wires running in to the light through a collar. Turn the collar counter clockwise and remove the assembly. Remove the bulb and plug in the new bulb and reverse the process to replace.

It means the unit isn't reading your CDs/DVDs. It most likely means the unit is broken and needs to be replaced. There is no fix that I know of for CD/DVD units, only replacing.
