97 buick regal gs runs fine until warm then stalls and will start for more than a second. sometimes when i give it gas it will rev for another second then stall

The car ran fine for the first two weeks i had it. stopped at a friends house. went to start it, started hard but would run. limped it home keeping the rpms up so that it would not stall. i figured bad gas changed fuel filter...no go.. ran better....kinda rough left my house drove about an hour stopped for gas the car would not start. towed it home and it sat for the winter. now i jump it it starts fine runs fine for 10 min then stalls and does not want to start warm.. scaned it no codes? The car has over 250,000 miles but decently maintained it has the 3800 II sc any ideas?

When the engine warms up the engine computer goes into closed loop mode and relies primarily on the O2 sensors and the MAF sensor to calculate the correct fuel to air mixture - if one of the O2 sensors is fouled or the MAF sensor is not working properly, this can cause the problem.
Given the age of the car, I would also check the idle air control (IAC) and channels, the EGR valve and the throttle body for carbon buildup.

SOURCE: 1991 buick regal starting and running problem

Sounds like your car is overheating. If you have a temp gauge it should show that. If you just have an idiot light, by the time it comes on it's already too hot to operate. AFTER the car is cooled down, open the radiator cap to see how much coolant has been lost. Chances are there is alot missing. Add WATER (no sense in adding coolant if it's going to leak out) and idle the car at home. Look underneath as it warms up to find where the leak is.

SOURCE: 1993 buick regal start and stall

The average life of a battery is 3 good years, regardless how BIG, or how it cost. Anything after that is a blessing. Personally, I would replace the battery ASAP, and then with a FULLY CHARGED battery. Then drive, and see if the problem still remains. Hope this helps

SOURCE: wont keep idle, car stalls out

I had this same problem on my 2005 monte carlo, took mechanic a while to figure out it was the idle air control valve. They also replace the idle air control motor.

My 97 buick lesabre starts m runs fine once it warms up it boggs n stalls why

check your fuel pressure sensor, that is located on your fuel rail. it would have a vacum hose to the top of it. cause it would cause it to give it plenty of gas upon start up (like a choke) but fails to stop feeding it so much fuel once it warms all the way up. just a suggestion.
