My Matiz SG (2000) which was running fine so far started cutting out on the road about two moths back. Now it is so frequent, you can't run it for 10 minutes continuously. After cutting out it won't start for 30-60 minutes. Then it would start again. I have seen that no current flows from the coil to the distributor when the car is stalled.
I have changed the distributor and ignition coil. Battery is fine. Wiring expert could not identify a fault. Got fuel pump checked but no use. My mechanic swapped various sensors and ECM with another Matiz, but couldn't find any problem. Also the valves are fine. Me and my mechanic are frustrated. Can anyone help?
Please were can I locate the IAC valve on a engine of a Daewoo matiz, please can I get a picture of it
Does your your alarm ligth stay on when switch car on? If it does then ther is a problem with your car alarm system.
Under your stearing rack is a white box. Take it to your local car alarm dealer to get new car ship and get new ship melted in your key.

Try to reset the IAC valve on the throttle body it has 4 wires t it .
procedure is as follows
turn ignition key on (don't start the engine), unplug the IAC valve, turn the key off, replug the IAC .Do this 3-4 times .Then start the engine while holding the pedal down at about 2000 rpm then let the rpm down slowly till idle. Sometimes the throttle requires cleaning then redo the reset.

check cylinder compressions wet and dry
any difference of about 25PSI is enough to warrant engine repairs
sounds like plug might be fouling up with oil
ring problem?

I have almost exactly the same problem with my 2000 Matiz SE+. Just clocked 30K miles and have exactly the same problem you describe. Although now it does not start at all. I thought as it appeared to get worse that something was gumming up, so I cleaned all the leads, plugs.....removed, stripped and cleaned the distributor (points and rotor), reassembled and nothing. I am probably wondering whether I have the correct firing order for the distributor though as I failed to take note of lead placement (DOH!). I know the firing order is 1,3,2......But not sure what this means in relation to the plugs and distributor points. Any ideas?
