97 sunfire came in as a no start.we found a couple broken wires at the pcm repaired them and the car will crank fine but dont start the security light is on steady and at one point we got a code 1014.the voltage at the key cyl is 11.8 on the white wire and yellow has 5 vlts when cranking yellow goes to 1.8 tried to reprogram security light never flashes at all.connected tech 2 to the car and can not read data from cluster or air airbag module.SOME HELP WITH THIS ONE PLEASE
The fuse for the obd2 is usually the cig lighter ,replace fuse and connect tech 2 try reprogram if it connects!

You said the the 2 cylinders in the middle has no fire. That will be 2 & 3. It has 2 coil packs. One runs 1 & 4 the other runs 2 & 3. Check the coil pack that runs 2 & 3....The firing order is 1,3,4,2... It runs because it hits,miss,hits,miss....just enough to keep it running....

Dont worry about wire checks at this point. If the "no bus" message went away after disconnecting the sensor, then the sensor is bad. Replace the crank sensor and all will be good in the world again.

Yes. First, in the fuse block under the hood check INJ A fuse and INJ B fuse. INJ A fuse is circuit 1039 which feeds the coil. If the fuse is OK, replace the coil electrical connector. I stock 2 of these at my dealership because they are needed quite often.
FYI P1351 is an ignition coil control circuit DTC.

Check your manual if you have it. I believe you need to have the key in the ignition in the ON position for about 10 minutes to reset the security system.
