My 2006 Honda civic windshield wipers will not park properly. They park about half way up the windshield. We replaced the windshield motor and it still parks about a 1/4 of the way up the windshield. Suggestions?
Just encountered this issue with mine on my 2006 Civic Sedan EX. It was a $15 part $17 and change after tax (FROM the Honda Dealer) that attaches to the wiper motor. This is the part #: 76505-SNA-A02 AND here are the instructions to fix it. 8th Gen Wiper 07-071_wiper_motor_not_parking.pdf. I had the exact same issue. It was more prominent when the weather was cold but they would rarely park in the down position, the intermittent part didn't seem to work but after replacing this part, the wipers work as they did when new. Just take your time and as long as you follow the direction on the pdf you'll be fine.
For the Honda civic 2006, a 24 inch windshield wiper is needed for the passenger side and 28 inch windshield is needed for the driver side.------------------------------------------------------------------------

TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) #07071 -- WINDSHIELD WIPERS INTERMITTENTLY DO NOT PARK OR TURN OFF. Contact your dealer about this problem, it only affects 2006 models of your car. The fix is a new wiper motor I believe.

there is a clip under the center of the blade itself push in on that and slide wiper off the armature replace simply by installing it the same way you removed the old ones they will click into lock by itself

Back of engine bay and base of the windsreen you will see some plasic covers known as scuttle panels, you may have to remove the wiper arms first (10mm M6 nut under the Black circle cap on each arm)
The motor will be the size of a coke can with Silver linkage bars going to it

If your arm looks like a hook (which it should), once you find and press the little tab and then jiggle the wiper and firmly pull towards the open side of the arm hook, it should come loose. You will probably have to rotate the blade to the side to make space to clear the hook (sometimes the hook flexes the blade a bit which is ok). Be careful not to bend the arm but be firm.
FYI, All new replacement windshield wiper blades come with step-by-step, illustrated instructions. Fon't have anxiety about it - I highly recommend getting the wipers in your hands and physically take a look.
Lastly, make sure you get not only the right length of replacement wiper, get the correct attachement. If you always use the application guide, you will get both: attachement and length. The application guides are at the store or you can go online to look them up (google something like lookup wiper size).
Hope this helps,
Jeff
