None of the windows or locks will work on my 04 forester? I had taken the master switch loose and had to reassemble the harness. A clicking noise (locks locking and unlocking) started while unhooked

motor is probably shot for window or window switch on the door check power to the switch and whether it sends power out but if your gettin noise when you push it it may be the regulator

Visually check the belt to see if the piece you found was indeed from the belt. If so you should replace it ASAP If you dont you might end up stuck on the side of the road or worse! The belt drives the power steering pump the alternator the A/C and several other things.

1. If you have the remote, check if that might have been immersed in water- have that changed.
2. The receiver in the car might be defective- have that checked.
