P1811 is a transmission code for trans adapt long shift. There is a service bulletin for this code that recommends replacement of the pressure control solenoid in the transmission.

What are the probable causes of DTC P1811?

Did you clean the cooler lines? 200 is to hot. 1811. Pull the side cover of the transmission and replace the EPC solenoid and both shift solenoids. Watch the check balls. Make sure they go back where they came from. After this you have to reset shift adapts. Takes a scanner.

What is code 1811

Your PCM has the means to adjust shift pressures and timing to make all the shifts smooth but properly timed. This code means that the computer cannot adjust any more because of an issue. This could be a pressure control issue or possibly a leak at a clutch seal. I would talk to a reputable transmission shop and see what they have to say. Chances are that you will need transmission repairs.

Airbag light on

B 1811. Open in driver side squib, 2nd step circuit.
The driver's side seat belt circuit is open. Remove the driver's side pillar cover, and look at the connector attached to the reel. Clean it with contact cleaner and place it back. If it does not solve the problem check the harness wiring for damage or broken wire.

Code p 1811

Four digit codes are brand specific, for GM products the code is for a problem with the transmission control module. The time between shifts may be too long.
You would need a factory shop manual to get the testing procedures for the code.

Code 1811 chevy impala

Hi there:
A common problem with the 4T65E autotransaxle is the pressure control solenoid (PCS) causing the hard shifting and in most cases upshifts only. If this is the case with yours then a scan with a trans capable scan tool may reveal a stored DTC of P1811 (max adapt, long shift) which would confirm the PCS (Pressure Control Solenoid) s suspect.

Checkn in THIS LINK description and test procedure.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

2004 impala jerks into first gear sometimes. steering wheel whines. I had transmission flushed. Is the tranny going out. I read many reviews that says it is Thanks

The 2 aren't connected to each other. Tranny flushes are NEVER good. Have it checked for codes. Code 1811 (EPC) VERY common in those trannys cause hard shifts.

Especially when the car is cold, the car jerks when shifting from first to second gear. When sitting at a light and then pressing the gas to go, the car hesitates before it moves.

Sounds like 2 different problems. Have san done if code 1811 comes up that is EPC in the trans. Other problem could be mass airflow sensor.
