I have recently installed a cd player in my 94 concorde. the cd player works fine but, it keeps blowing my dashboard and tail light fuse. i unhook the cd player and replace the fuse with the right fuse 15A and my lights all work and fuse dont blow. then i plug the cd player back in and the fuse blows. my cd player is grounded by the ground on the back of the player and the black wire on the harness

Unhook black wire from harness and the ground from pioneer unit install the ground wire from pioneer unit to frame of car (you may need extra wire to do this) make sure the black wire from pioneer unit is bolted to frame of car not to the harness black wire........fuses will no longer blow and you will have your lights.
hope this helped

I installed a cd player in my car about 2 months ago. It wasnt the greatest installation, as I had an extra wire not going to anything, and the cd player would occasionally short out, and i would have to...

Sounds like you wired the cd player to the tail light fuse and the power wire touched ground. Go to the fuse panel inside the car and check the fuses. The tail lamp one and possibly also the dash light fuses will be blown, replace them after disconnecting the cd player power wires and taping off where they were connected. If you have the factory harness for the original radio still in the dash you can get a wiring harness to directly plug into it from walmart. If you don't have the original harness , the easiest way to power the cd is to tap the cigarette lighter wire.

Dashboard lights not working

No insult intended, but are you sure the lights on dash aren't just dimmed out? I fell for that one when it went through the car wash. Wiping down everything one of them rolled the dash dimmer. Good luck. And that inj looks like an abreviation for injector. That needs to be looked into cause something or an injector is shorted. good luck

I have recently installed a head unit in my 1997 mitsubishi nimbus. The head unit works however my dashboard lights are out as is my back left tail light which comes on only when the brakes are applied....

check your fuse box for any fuse that might have blown during the installation. the dashboard light fuse will be inside the fuse box on the door, and tail lights are probably hooked up to a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

if you need to know what fuse is what, they're listed in the back of the owners manual.
