1995 GMC Keep stalling Randomly

95 GMC 3/4 ton with 5.7 L keeps stalling out randomly. When it does stall out, I have to hold the gas pedal to the floor to get it started again. The engine light doesn't stay on long enough to get a code. I replaced idle control valve sensor and plug, tps sensor, map sensor, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new distributor, new plugs, rotor, wires.. the whole nine yards. The truck runs great, just every once in while if I park on a hill or stopping at a light it stalls out. It's like it isn't getting any gas, but I smell it for sure. Clueless any suggestions?

when you shut the truck off is/was there a swishing/bubbling noise coming from the tank?

Theres an orange rubber in the fuel tank that connects the fuel pump to the sender lines. if that rubber is torn you may get it to run but not stay running for more than a short period of time.

Smell of the oil,to see if the fuel injector(spider)is leaking into the crank case,if so,the intake will have to be removed to repair the problem,oh,and change the oil.

Stalls out when gas is let off

You don't say what size engine you have, so diagnostic analysis is a bit difficult. Please supply engine size and answer these questions.

1. After it stalls, do you sometimes smell fuel?
2. Does it restart easily after a stall, or do you have to hold the gas pedal to the floor to restart it?
3. Can you keep it running by working the gas pedal?
4. Has you fuel consumption increased since this began?

I ask these questions because on most engines there is a coolant temperature sensor that the ECM used to control the amount of fuel to the injectors based upon the engine coolant temperature. When the engine is cold it supplied more fuel than when warm. If the sensor malfunctions it tells the ECM that the coolant is -40F
and that causes massive fuel to be supplied. This may not affect a cold start once the engine needs the fuel, but it will flood and stall out the motor when warm. If you can keep the engine running by pressing the gas pedal, you are allowing the motor to rev up and use the extra fuel, but you will find you gas mileage reduces by as much as half.

On one of the occasions when it won't start back up, someone will need to figure out if you have lost spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors to be able to troubleshoot the problem.

I have a 1995 pathfinder that keeps stalling on me when I start slowing down

Mine did the same thing. We cleaned the throttle body and poured Sea Foam, a gas treatment, in the gas tank... also check the air filter while you are at it. worked for me.

A bad ignition module can give you fits!!!! Replace it even if it doesnt fix it! You will be glad you did! Most likely that is the problem ,however!

Sometimes when I go to make a turn, the truck stalls out and dies. When I go to shut the car off and start it back up it, it starts up with no problem. This has been randomly happening for the past three...

You could have a bad or dirty EGR valve, there common on the 95 jimmy's to have lots of carbon build up. Best thing to do is get the truck's ECM scanned for any codes. If there are codes, that would be the fastest and cheapest way to find out what the problem is.
The other thing to is may be a dirty fuel filter and it needs to be replaced.
