Wanting to know what fuse the cigeratte lighter is for a 1997 Holden Astra

Its the accessory fuse , labeled Accessory or ACC, its located in the fuse box under the hood. The same fuse controls all accessory\'s like the stereo etc. Some models have individual fuse for them in the fuse box u=in the cock pit under the dashboard close to the driver side door. Look at the diagram on the fuse box cover to be certain.

I need diagram of fuse switch underhood so I can see what needs to be replaced. The check engine light is on an i was told the fuse has a short.

From what ive seen there are 2 fuse boxes for your car...open the hood and look to about 10 o'clock, there should be a black plastic box with a spin type connector holding the cover down. The diagram for the box is under it's lid. The other box is in the car, when you open the passenger front door there is a panel right there facing out of the car. Open it, and you will see the diagram for it on the back of that cover...You can get the fuses at any autoparts, walmart, kmart, wherever. to check them, just look at the middle. If you see a burnt mark and the "wire" isn't connected anymore, you've found your problem, however, only do one at a time, and make sure you replace it with EXACTLY the same rating (number on top of the fuse ie, 15, 20, 30 etc.) hope this helps you!

Car runs. Lights on instrument panel stays on, signal lights don't work and air conditioner won't come on, message center won't light up or turn on. could this be a fuse and if it is where is...

which lights on the instrument panel are on ? fuses are easy ,, your going to have 2 of the boxes actually, One is either down by the drivers side kick panel along the edge of the bottom of the dash,, ( you may have to look up from the floor level to see it) or it could be along the edge of the dash,, open the drivers door, and look at the side of the dash board ,, ( some models have it placed there, ) most have little door coverings now, just open it up,, then there is one that has the larger fuses and relays in it,, that one is located under the hood along the fender wall of your vehicle,, these usually have to do with motor parts,, But Ive seen some with other items too, so check both,, use a tester for the fuses, you don't want to get stuck someplace because of a 25 cent fuse !! lemme know about those lights, and I'll assist you more just replay to this feed and I'll see it

Check for another box under the hood. The fuses are commonly in seperate boxes from the breakers/relays. The box under the hood should be fairly close to the firewall on the driver's side. The breaker will look similar to a little metal can.

97 olds cutlass, horn doesn't work, relay is good, is there a fuse and where

I do believe that your vehicle does have a fuse for the horn, if so, you should be able to locate the fuse, inside the car, on the driver's side, right under the dash. There should be a cover you can remove to access the fuses, and most manufacturers include the fuse information on the inside of this cover.

I hope this gets your horn going.

Power locks for all doors are not workink

well thats surely a fuse problem,,

firstly open all doors and open all the locks
on the drivers door open and close the locks a few times to make sure it isnt a stuck lock

1.) pop the hood
2.) under the hood locate the fuse box (it has a covering over it and should be in a very accessible place)
3.) remove the cover and look under the cover you will see a diagram
4.) look for a fuse labled AC, ACC, ACCA or accessories
5.) pull that fuse it should be burnt, replace with a similar fuse..

A4 cabriolet hood stuck

I'm not sure about that. I'm assuming that you've checked the fuse. There may be a circuit breaker for the top operation as well, and that may have blown (those are under the hood usually, or under the dash on the driver's side). Have you tried cycling the ignition a few times, or maybe a 30 minute disconnect on the battery? That usually puts the car's computers into relearn mode. I'm just throwing out ideas here since I've never dealt with this before, but they're worth trying.
