04 turbo s vw-trunk won't open--lights blink on and off but no motor is engaged (?); key or rear latch will not work. Help!

Where on the inside is the door latch located?

The lock is covered with a plastic panel. Do I need to go behind this to manually open the boot? If so, are you able to explain how please?

That happens quit often on VW, it is the door latch stuck.

Unhook the rear sits, and sneak into the car boot.

Open the door latch from the inside using a screwdriver to move the U-shaped lock, be careful not to damage the lock or the door.

Lock jammed or super-glue has been put into it, the only way is to remove back seat, after you are in boot open lock with screwdriver. If this is American boot under the car and a long screwdriver to release catch.

Why wont my car boot wont open on my citren berlingo ?

Can you give a check to the micro switch that is connected to your boot lock?
If the catch gets stuck, open your drivers door, leave it open, reach across & press down the lock on the passenger front side. The locks will lock/ unlock themselves, because they sense a door is open. Repeat this action until you hear the boot unlock. Also, keep your battery well-charged.

Go into boot from rear seat and you will find a red plastic cord in the tailgate trim( sometimes under a plastic cover) pull the cord and boot opens. Locking solenoid will be faulty.

Cant open the boot no keys for MX5 1991

Sounds like you have the "Valet" key for your car, which has only limited access. You need to get the "Primary" key for your vehicle, but I am not sure how you would go about doing so.

pull up the rear seat (the bit you sit on ) , it is held in place with pop fasteners , so just pull it up the way. underneath is a cord with a loop to pull to open the boot catch.
