2007 Suzuki Forenza ac/heater/defrost fan not working

At first when we bought the vehicle, the fan ran when any of the three, heat/ac/defrost, were turned on. Then over months, it took tricks to make the fan kick on, like slamming both driver and passenger door at same time OR going from acceleration to quick deceleration. Now the fan doesn't kick on at all.

The cab heater fan?, there can be 4 fans on some cars.
front condenser, 2 on rad, and 1 in cab heater box.
the cab fan? does it fail on high too?
it has a switch, (marked fan speed)
the switch is bad ,if low speed are dead. and high are good.
or wiring to it , the motor or the fuse.
even a cracked fuse, change the fan fuse to a new fuse.

SOURCE: 2005 Suzuki Forenza timing belt breakage

hi im not sure on this particular model but there a few easy ways to check.... take the spark plugs out, remove the broken belt, shine a light down the holes and look for dammdge, if you cant see anything you can turn the crank but it is a tricky job because you can ruin the engine so if your unsure get a mechanic to do it.. or your other alternative is to remove the head and have a look but you will need a new head gasket kit, timing belt and tensioner kit etc .. it is important that you do not turn the engine over when the belt is disconected in any way UNTIL you know for sure that valves wont hit pistons, even bending a valve will not be very noticable but when its all back together you will deffinately notice and will have to pull it all back apart

SOURCE: AC has freon (134a) pressure is good. Compressor

Have a code reader or scanner put on the car to erase all codes, this should reset the ac system circuit. Also check the low side clutch cycle switch,it may be the problem.

SOURCE: 2007 Suzuki Forenza. It is

Ok what you are experiencing is referred to as a shift interlock problem. First thing I would do is check to make sure that when you apply the brakes that the brake lights are coming on. There is a switch mounted on the brake pedal that activates the lights and also dis-engages the shift interlock. If this switch is bad the brake lights wont work and the shifter will not move. Replacing the switch will restore normal operation. If you have a copy of the owners manual you should be able to locate the instructions on how to bypass the shift interlock. If not then look at the cover around the shifter and you should be able to see a plastic oval shaped plastic plug. Pry the plug out and use a small screwdriver to press down on the interlock and it should come out of park. You can shift freely when out of park but remember you will have to perform that every time you need to come out of park until repaired. Hope this was helpful and good luck.

so cant help you lacking where you are, (name a country, not your IPaddress)
we have the 2.0L engine, in USA< this is a USA forum so......??

ok the computers in your car are way smarter than say 1988 Samurai.
the PCM that runs the engine, for SURE cuts AC to keep engine from self destructing!! AC can do that,,,,,,
want a cracked or warped engine head ?
no.
the PCM cuts the a/c, and if engine is overloaded. or overheated
so forget the A/C
fix engine overheating (primary issues)
and guess wha?t , that gets worse, so delaying the fix
a $5 part compounds to $3000 new engine.
why not just get car fixed.???
"we cant teach you 50 years of engine problems in 5min time."
best post ever that.. here.

1: fuses good? check them it means.
2: water leaks?
3: levels wrong? (in actual rad, cold tested)
4: fan belts loose?
5: bad thermostat
6: bad water pump, impeller rusted to zip, do to abuse.
7: over heats parked only or moving fast or only up hills,? key facts if only parked the fan is dead.

Fuse relay radiator fans

If the vehicle is not overheating then do nothing. There is a chance that the system is controlled by the vehicle computer and the fans in some vehicles only come on when the engine is under load, like when it's actually moving. Maybe sitting stationary and not working the engine it is normal for the fans not to run.

Heater quit working in my 2006 suzuki forenza

If there is heat and no fan (turn on heat and hold your hand next to the vent) then it could be the fuse in the engine compartment. I just fixed mine for $6.00

2006 Forenza. Over heating problem. Coolant in resivoir goes down. It does maintain pressure. No leaks. Both fans functional at operating temp. Fuses appear to be OK. At operating temp, lower hose is cool....

take the overflow hose loose from the resovoir and stick it down in pop bottle with water about half full
and run vehicle if you see bubbles in it you have a bad head gasket.

Groaning Noise While AC is on

this sounds like the AC compressor is failing, the engine idles slower in drive so noise is more apparent. you are likely going to need to replace it soon.
