According to wikipedia, the 1st-generation Nissan Altima was offered from 1992-1997. We have a 1996 nissan altima and attached is a photo of the inside of our fuse box. I also found another page that gives the same info for the 1997. I am sure this diagram would work for the 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, or 1997 Nissan Altima. https://www.2carpros.com/questions/1997-nissan-altima-lost-door-interior-fuse-box-turn-longer-diagram-could
Sounds like U have fuel /injecter problems , One faulty fuel injecter will cause the others to do the same.. try replacing U might try replacing ur gas filters first if u haven"t already...
It sounds like your Mass Air Flow Sensor is faulty. These sensors will normal show fault when cruising at highway speeds causing the vehicle to almost stall or stall. Replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with a known good one and test drive the vehicle. This will most likely repair your concern.
This happened to my 1997 Altima GXE a couple years ago. The coolant sensor is bad ($30-40 part). The coolant sensor is reading that the temp is cool on a warmed up engine and actually causes the engine to run rich (thinking it is a cold engine). The problem is intermittant and happened at the worse times.
is the check engine light on?? you may need a crank ngle sensor. pretty common problem with altima. nissan actually has TSB out for replacement of sensors. good luck.
