Code 55 means 'End of code read-out', but not actually giving you any errors.
Seems to me though that it may have something to do with the fuel pump seeing as banging the fuel tank made it work for a little while.
To find the real problem have a dealer or mechanic troubleshoot.

Here is an exact quote from Chrysler, hope it helps. Good luck.
"Code 55 indicates end of codes. If you are retrieving codes, code 55 will indicated that you have reached the end of the code list. Code 55 will always be reported regardless of if there is another code to report or not. If you don’t receive a code 55 when retrieving codes, the power limited light may be burned out (or you may not have done the code checking procedure correctly."

2000 Chrysler Concorde ran perfect, parked for 3-4 months now it idles rough almost stalling runs better as rpms go up, runs best at 70-80 mph but still has a miss

Your code it for a low battery voltage, your miss I would think might be a gummed up injector. Todays fuel does not store for long before it starts to varnish up. I suggest running some good fuel additive like B&G 44K with a tank of premium octane fuel and see if she clears out.

Would p code 1494 cause the car to die or make a puttering kind of noise

this code relates to the EVAP LDP , the pump sensor needs investigating ,this is used to prevent fuel fumes escaping to the atmosphere

Car dies out while driving on highway or residential streets without warning

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.
Does it start back up quickly ?

Ive been having trouble with my '98 chrysler concorde.it would either ''stall'' out while stopped or die out while driving.i took the car to the mechanic & they put in a cam sensor & tonight coming...

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? when clogged, they will cause the engine to stall when stopped, or while driving. Inexpensive, if you can do it yourself, Part cost-under $15, for most cars. Won't do any harm to change it, know what I mean?

I have a 99 concorde runs good then out of no where rpms drop and a car will not get fuel, dies then will start some times soon or later and runs good

Change your Crankshaft position sensor, or your camshaft position sensor. Same thing happened on my car about 3 months ago.
