My 1994 chrysler concorde died today, it wasnt my 1994 chrysler concorde died today, it wasnt getting any fuel, so I banged on the gas tank and it worked a couple hours later. now its flashing a 55 for the engine code. what does this mean
Code 55 means 'End of code read-out', but not actually giving you any errors.
Seems to me though that it may have something to do with the fuel pump seeing as banging the fuel tank made it work for a little while.
To find the real problem have a dealer or mechanic troubleshoot.
Here is an exact quote from Chrysler, hope it helps. Good luck.
"Code 55 indicates end of codes. If you are retrieving codes, code 55 will indicated that you have reached the end of the code list. Code 55 will always be reported regardless of if there is another code to report or not. If you don’t receive a code 55 when retrieving codes, the power limited light may be burned out (or you may not have done the code checking procedure correctly."
