Check your set screw, and make sure it's not too low. Adjust the screw to the point that where it idles at the proper speed. Also, maybe check your throttle cable for too much slack.

First things first, have someone check the fuel pressure with a gauge.

TRUCK BATTERY DIES,STARTS WHEN JUMPED BUT WONT STAY RUNNING WITHOUT FOOT ON GAS

Some models have to be retaught how to idle once the battery dies, so you need to start the truck and feather the gas peddle to keep it running and do this for a few minutes, the computer has to relearn how to idle the engine.

Wont stay running

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A INTAKE MANIFOLD VACUUM LEAK. TO CHECK THIS GET A CAN OF CAR SPRAY AND SRAY AROUND THE INTAKE GASKET WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, IF THE ENGINE HAS A LEAK IT WILL START RUNNING OK WHILE THE YOU ARE SPRAYING.
