2002 Hyundai Coupe 2.7L V6 clutch problem

Hi

I have a small problem, I have a Hyundai Coupe GK 2.7 V6 (2002) that I have replaced the engine on, assembled everything … and now found out after starting it that (engine and gearbox mounted etc) the gearbox has been put on with the clutch folk not in the write place ( basically no clutch) . Now my question is what is the easiest way of fixing this problem, I have the car almost on the road and need to sort this out asap

Is there a way of dropping the whole front suspension frame with engine and gearbox to do the work or something similar and how do I get the fork to slide onto the clutch bearing properly ?

Thanks for your help
Rudi

Hi what your going to have to do is. unhook your slave cly and take a pry bar and pry the fork bar towards the front of the car you will hear a click. that means you have poped the throw out bearing into the plate. You did nothing wrong they just have to be popped in.

Part number & where to source output shaft bearings for 2003 uk reg 1.6 litre manual Hyundai Coupe.

The easy way is to go to the dealership parts department. They would keep those in stock. Or you go to a spares motor factor like the ones below. They are picking up 'wheel bearings', but they can supply all bearing parts..

Vacuum diagram for a 2004 tiburon

There is only 4 vacuum lines on that engine

1- brake booster line

2- purge line to purge solenoid (top center of throttle body)

3- PCV hose. run straight from PCV to side of intake at base of throttle body

4- fuel pressure regulator line (short small diameter hose runs from #6 intake runner to fuel pressure regulator

5- tube that connects front cam cover to rear cam cover to improve vapor venting

Hyundai Coupe 2.7 V6 auto 2002 I have a problem starting my coupe. This is an intermittent problem and has no pattern. so frustrating :( She will turn over but will not start, it take 2-5 times of key...

Main fuel line from tank to fuel pump, Sounds like the pump is sucking the fuel and air is getting in also, only when the fuel system is pressurised and the return line is sending fuel back to the tank will the air pressure in the tank be higher than the outside atmosphere and then air will no longer be sucked into the system - if this is true there will be a fuel leak - maybe only a little - to find if there is a leak, start the car on level ground, turn off the engine and restart it several times, then move the car back and check on the ground for any fuel - also check under the bonnet and sniff around for any strong petrol smells - there will probably be a fuel pipe damp with petrol - tell me what you find - if it is or isn't leaking I can give you the next steps to identifying the problem -

Change spark plugs on hyundai coupe v6 2.7 2002

To change the sparkplugs you have to actually remove the black and silver shield, then take the headers off. There are bolts hidden under the middle silver pieces, they pop right out. There is also a bolt under the Hyundai H logo on the cover.
