How to replace the antenna booster on 2007 Toyota Yaris hatchback

  1. Remove the antenna mast from the antenna base. Grasp the antenna mast near its base and twist it counterclockwise to remove it from the base.
  2. Remove the antenna base cover. You can use a flathead screwdriver or a plastic trim removal tool to gently pry the cover off.
  3. Disconnect the antenna cable from the booster. There will be a connector attached to the booster. Gently unplug it to disconnect the cable.
  4. Remove the old booster. It is usually held in place by a mounting screw or adhesive. If there is a screw, use a screwdriver to remove it. If there is adhesive, carefully pry the booster off with a flathead screwdriver.
  5. Clean the mounting surface. If there was adhesive holding the old booster, use a cloth and some rubbing alcohol to clean the surface where the new booster will be attached.
  6. Install the new booster. If it comes with a mounting screw, align the booster and screw it in place. If it comes with adhesive, remove the backing and carefully attach it to the cleaned surface.
  7. Reconnect the antenna cable to the new booster.
  8. Reinstall the antenna base cover.
  9. Reattach the antenna mast to the antenna base by twisting it clockwise.

2003 mitsubishi outlander mirror removal

I don't own an Outlander but going by Pajero I suspect it is similar. On the inside of the door you might see a plastic triangle which covers the screws securing the mirror through the door frame. Gently pry away this plastic part (or unscrew, I don't know), then you will see the fastenings of the mirror base. Also you will find an electric connector. First separate the connector(s) if possible, then unscrew the mirror base. If you don't see the connector, the cable of the mirror may be routed downwards behind the inner door cover, there you go.
Note of caution: Never understimate car designers, the solutions they find to hide fastenings are sometimes "outlandish".

Tundra antenna removal

You will have to un-install the entire antenna system from the inside.
remove the panel carefully adjacent to the antenna system
undo the bolts and clamps that hold the system in place
you can try and install the new antenna piece without disconnecting the transfer wire that goes back to the radio. But usually you will need to get and install a new system.
just to keep you going in the mean time you could just use a old wire coat hanger "classic" just bend the hook straight and shove it in, you have your sounds back.
all the best

I can not find where to plug in my Outlander for

When in doubt, if it's a block heater, I usually look under engine block for cord attached to heater, then follow it forward. A quick call to dealer may save a lot of aggravation though, I'm sure they will tell you.

Poor reception. Changed the radio with another of the same model. Reception is still poor. Must be an antenna problem. How do I go about replacing the antenna and coax?

1. Disconnect negative side of battery.
2. Wait at least 2-minutes to de-energize the airbag system
3. Remove the glove box from the dash.
4. There will be a coax cable towards the top of the opening. Disconnect the antenna cable lead.
5. Remove the right kick trim panel. There should be no screws just clips.
6. Loosen the rubber grommet insulator from the door hinge area. This is a rubber accordian style guard for wires located between the "A" pillar and the door.
7. Pull the antenna cable out of the dash area to the hinge area.
8. Jack up the front right of the vehicle. Support with Jack Stands. Do not use only the Jack! Use the jack as a back-up in case of Jack Stand failure.
9. Remove the right front tire.
10. Remove the right front wheel housing splash shield. There should be 3-push type retainers and one 10 mm bolt below the bumper.
11. Slide the plastic cover (on the base) up on the antenna mast.
12. Use a open end wrench to unscrew the antenna mast at the base and remove the antenna mast.
13. Remove the plastic cap from the base nut on the base and remove the base nut.
14. From underneath the fender: pull down the antenna base. And pull the cable towards you - out from the door hinge area into the fender area.
Good Luck! Installation is reverse of above.
