96 civic cuts out on highway

Car runs fine but sometimes on the highway at about 60mph i lose power briefly, i only regain power if i let off the gas then reapply the gas. it will continue to do this until i turn off the ignition and restart

2007 Saturn VUE losing power

Hi,

it sounds like there might be an issue with your breaks or breakpads sticking whenever you decelerate from high speeds. Try "pump breaking" or applying the breaks for short bursts of time in order to slow down to see if this dodges the issue. If so, I would still get the break pad or system checked while still mentioning the full issue to the technician. Thank you.

Check Main computer harness or computer itself 12vdc and ground check computer harness is far from exhaust manifold, sometime it loose, touch it and produce fails Check with an anlog VOM the +5vdc on one of the pins or TPS or MAP. it swing? bad pc check all vacuum connectors, from 96 to today, those hoses have 13 years and may be toasted Check CGR valve Scan must show any error when car cut off, follow trace to the fail check fuel pump pressure and gas filter
