Heater not working on jaguar xtype

The heater control panel is not working. I started the car up and turned on the heater as it was freezing out side. It started but as i started to reverse out the drive it totally stoped working and the whole heater display panel has stoped working. If this is a fuse which fuse do i need to check for? Thanx Chris

SOURCE: Jaguar Xtype 2002 Stereo problem

Check the connector at the back, if the speakers had gone altogether is likely to be the cause. If it is not the connector, test the audio output on speakers on the stereo, if it works check connector and wiring to speakers, if you have no audio the stereo is faulty.

Why does jaguar 2003 xtype a/c blow warm one vent and cold the other

i presume this car has dual temp control, the usual cause of this is the duel control valve and/or wiring to it corroded/open circuit, or one of the servo motors that drive the flaps in the heater/ac unit

2003 xtype jaguar suddenly turned off i check fuel pressure none so it says engine fault gear box help help please

check your inertia switch on the passenger side kick panel. It is a red switch that control fuel pump pressure.Check and see if its engaged etc.You should here the pump once you turn the key to phase two. This is a start..it the switch is not the issue, check the fuel pump fuse.

The fuel heater light on my xtype started flashing and the ABS lights. After a few more short journeys the ignition engine warning light is now on and staying on . I've also noticed a loss of power and...

I had a very similar problem (did not have the abs light) but had the other lights. Changed fuel filter as the problem seemed to be a fuel pressure problem. Turbo was back and no flashing heater light, engine light will go out after about three cold to hot starts as long as no other problem exists. It's worth a try as it is a cheap and relatively easy repaire to do. If not the answer take to a garage who can interrogate the computer.

On my 2.0 deisel Jaguar Xtype car lost power

the most common cause of that prob with xtype diesel is the hose going to the intercooler splits and leaks or the jubilee clip on the intercooler has corroded and broken allowing the hose to blow off not easy to get to to repair

My 2002 s type jaguar doesn't heat. the fans

Probably the heater control valve, had same issue, started with one side not hot, then erratic, hot then cold while heat is set to hot, now both side are cold to lukewarm. diagnosed as heater control valve, common for jag s-types and x-types. located on the passenger side, down low the side of the radiator, it has several hoses into and out of valve, and a electrical connector.
