I have the same problem and have trouble codes 35 and 36. I found out that there is a computer module that needs replaced as it sits low in a valley and gets hot and seperates. I am reseaching about the a/m fix that installs the new module away from heat.

On 94 Isuzu pickup 2.3 liters , I install new fuel pump and filters I have no gas at carb. It's has a mechanical pump. How do I catch prime? Starting fuel starts it then it dies.

I have a diesel van and what I do to prime fuel lines is to connect a fuel hose to the inlet of the filter. Using a fuel container. I know it is a rough rigging but it has kept me from towing my van to the mechanic

94 gmc sierra 4.3 v6 manual, won't turn over, can hear fuel pump start when accessories turned on..won't fire, girl who needs help

The first thing I would check is fuel pressure. This type of fuel injection requires a minimum fuel pressure in order to operate. If fuel pressure is as little as one psi below minimum the vehicle will not start. You can try squirting a couple of shots of carb spray into the air snorkel while somebody cranks the engine over. If the engine starts and then dies you now you fpdeffinetely have a fuel issue. If the engine still won't start check for spark. Let me know what you find. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

GMC VAN 89 ,STARTS AND RUNS RUFF FOR 5 MIN.,SMOOTHS TO A PUR FOR 10 MIN,THEN RUFF AND DIES. SAME IF YOU TRY TO DRIVE IT. SET FOR AN HOUR BACK TO SAME WAY . PLEASE HELP....

YOU COULD HAVE RESTRICTED FUEL FILTER OR FUEL PUMP COULD BE FAILING. FUEL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 9 - 13 PSI FOR THE GAS ENGINE.IF YOU HAVE 6.2 DIESEL ENGINE YOU FUEL FILTER STOPPED UP OR YOU HAVE FAULTY LOW PRESSURE TRANSFER PUMP.YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY FUEL SOLENOID AT THE INJECTION PUMP.

1999 dodge ram 1500 won't start

Since you know the starter is good, now have the alternator and battery tested. If these are both good (if either or both are bad, obviously replace) then try replacing the starter relay; this will prevent a car from even turning over.

Also, check all starter fuses, iginition fuses and relays.

Q: Does the engine turn over?

Q: Does the engine start, then die, or just turn over?

Q: If it turns over, does it sound weak, or does it sound strong, like it's trying to start?

Q: Have you tired jump starting the truck? If not try this: if it starts and stays running, pull both battery terminals off. If the truck dies, replace the alternator. If it stays running, you may need to replace the battery. Look at the battery and see if there is a date sticker on it to indicate when the battery was purchased (or manufactured). (If diesel, have both batteries tested). If diesel, if jumpstarting from one battery doesn't work try the other one. Also, if diesel, make sure there is at least 1/4 tank of fuel as some diesels won't start if very low on fuel (pump does not reach very bottom of tank and will not syphin fuel in).

If gas/diesel, and it turns over, turn the key to the on position and have someone lean down at the back side of the truck (driverside) and listen for the fuel pump to engage. If no noise is heard, consider replacing the fuel pump. Inquire with an auto parts dealers as to whether or not this truck is equipped with a secondary fuel pump (usually located mid-way on the chassi).

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Its called the fuel pump cylinoide which is attached to the fuel pump. Unless the fuel pump is bad, you got an expensive part to buy around $2500 or the cylinoide is $900 whichever is broken. This is a know issue for GMC deisel suburbans 6.5.

6.5 tubbo diesel died and wont start back

Sounds like the fuel pump got air in the system. You may have to bleed out the air. Then it will run. Check the fuel tank for fuel first.
