My 2001 Chevy Astro will crank but not start. I've had to replace thecap and rotor by a garage twice before and seems to be doing the same thing. Since it is at home and won't start, I prefer to avoid a tow to the garage so I need to know how to replace the cap, rotor and check the coil.
Pull off the center console inside the van to expose the engine. the distributor will be right in front of you. remove 2 screws from the cap, and make sure you get the wires on in the exact order you remove them, or else it wont start. rotor is underneath cap, and i believe the coil is right there on the cap.
Go to your nearest library and down load the information for your car and it will also show you how to change everything and test it also if you have an Autozone near you they also are a great help with this information and giving you diagrams and pictures
