Abs detects each wheel of the rotation.i will check from the tire then monitor with the scanner to see the abs sensor on each wheel and chk any fault code as well.anyone of the abs sensor have not detect correctly,it will be not working right.that's the basic of ABS.good luck
That year was bad about the float in the master cylider getting stuck..Look in the master cylinder and see if it moves up and down...Also check the wires at the master cylinder make sure a good connection..If its the rear wheels draggin..You might have a stuck wheel cylinder ,,and when the beake cylinder doesnt retract ,,the abs senses that and throws a light..That is if you have drums on the back..
If you have a locking rear diff,it could be the clutches on the side gears or lack of fluid and special additive. Sounds like the wheel speed is off enough on corner,to set the ABS light, when it chatters. Don't over look parking brake and rear caliper issues.
if it is the pinion bearing located near the drive shaft it could cause slack and thump the drive shaft. with the truck jacked up the driveshaft would be sloppy near the rear up and down.
Since the rotor isn't warped. Do you have grooves in the rotor? Are the pads evenly worn? You a bad front 4X4 C/V shaft will also cause this reaction. I would just unplug the ABS fuse and it will bypass the system to regular old-fashioned brakes.
Buy, borrow or rent a code reader. PLUG IT IN UNDER YOUR DASH. Follow the instrutions'and it will tell exactly why the light is comming on. Like your dealer should have.
have you check? the master cylinder. sometine when you get the rotors cut they dont come out right because they may be warped or to thin. if you did the job yourself you might have put the calipers in on the wrong side. this happens alot . if your rotors front and rear are fine then switch the calipers to the other side.
