1991 honda accord ex check engine light on. PO code 430. I have changed the oxygen sensor. After couple weeks, check engine light came on. the car drive rough on the idle.

code p 430 refers to catalytic converter system , bank 2---efficiency below threshold ====causes ---cat converter--wiring ---Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S in the exhaust manifold bank 2 before the cat converter)
have the cat converter checked for failure and blocking the exhaust

P0420 p0430 p0750

Code 750 is a problem with one of the shift solenoids inside the transmission.
Code 420 is for the catalytic converter performance bank one and code 430 is the same thing for bank two. The codes mean the cat is not performing up to standards based on the data coming from the O2 sensors. Sometimes it a sensor problem, and sometimes its a cat problem or something in the fuel system.

Have a code 0430

Failed Exhaust Converter (Bank #2),
so I assume you have a V6 in order to
have a bank #2

You should google your make, model etc &
put OBD2 Code PO420 or 430 & read up on it

2008 gracherokee hemi and i had problem

Code 430 is for the catalytic converter on bank two not working correctly.
Code 1521 is for incorrect engine oil type or weight.
Code 153 is for O2 sensor bank 2 sensor one not switching.
Code 113 is for the intake air temp sensor saying the intake air is over 200 degrees.
I would clear the codes and see how many come back before I try to fix anything.
The last code could make the truck not start so you may want to look at the temp sensor. It may be unplugged or shorted to ground.
The code 153 could be a faulty sensor which could cause code 430.

The obd II code is po 430. what does that have to do with the catalyst system or emmission?

PO430--Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

On your vehicle ,that would be a bad exhaust converter
on the drivers side

Bank 1 would be where the #1 cylinder is
Bank 2 the opposite on a V6 or V8

Your converter is about 12 or 13 years old
They should last about 12 to 15 in my opinion

I would replace both converters and both O2
Sensors--if they have 100,000 miles on them

The Catalyst is the material inside that converts
the exhaust gases to Water Vapor, H2O, and reduces
HC,CO,and NOX

Code 430 and 420

Wow!, I answered this about 30 minutes ago, but somehow my answer didn't post.

Fault code 420 is Catalyst system efficiency below threshold, ( bank 1 )
Fault code 430 is the same as above but, ( bank 2 )

Fault codes do not determine what part is bad, they just reduce the field for troubleshooting.
This is what I would have checked;
1. Oxygen sensor, upstream ( meaning before the catalytic converter )
2. Oxygen sensor, downstream ( meaning after the catalytic converter )
3. MAF, ( mass air flow ), sensor
4. Idle air control sensor.

Your problem will be with the emission system.

I hope this helps you.

97 Mercury cougar xr7 v6. po443, po430, po171, po174,

Sounds like you have low fuel supply or a leak in intake system causing lean codes, check fuek pressure and volume first. Cat converter effeciancy could be caused by the lean codes, purge system sounds like solenoid failure, check for high resistance accross purge vent solenoid.
