Car stalled then white smoke came out the tail pipe. Now it wont start

My car was running fine then i was at a stop when i went to take off car stalled a little then white smoke poured out of the tailpipe. I put it in reverse and backed down into a parking spot and cut it off and it won't start since. My car never ran hot once and there's no water in the oil at all. I've had a blown head gasket before and had the motor rebuilt about 2 years ago. My motor did sound like it had a little tap. When i check the oil it shows full.

SOURCE: the car turns over but

The plastic upper intake manifold will leak water into the combustion chamber and drown out the plugs or may cause a hydraulic engine lock. How far did you drive it hot? 3800's are not known for having a head gasket problem. I have seen some rookie mechanics change the head gaskets and replace engines only to find out that it was the upper manifold after they cranked it up with old one on it. Do you know if it was leaking water externally or why it ran hot?

SOURCE: Just put new spark plugs in 97 buick lasabre. Car

these cars have issues with coolent getting into the intake... headgaskets are not one of the issues . check plugs for coolent. upper plastic intake has coolent flow in to chambers if u will, and over time they get micro cracks and brittle ...lower intake manifold gaskets are plastic also. ..cyl. heads are cast iron not alluminum . lower intake manifold is alluminum and upper intake is plastic .. on my lesabre a plastic 90 degree elbow connected to the lower intake manifold to the heater hose housing. the belt tensioner is connected to this housing im refering to. not saying for sure, but if it is this is usually why...

SOURCE: white smoke coming from the tail pipe when i start the car

if its happening during non cold weather then you may have a head gasket going bad and need replacement.you can have a combustion chamber test and a co test done on the cooling system to see if anything shows.be aware that may not show a problem depending on how early on the gasket is in deterioration.have you had to add coolant to the system or have recently noticed the level going down in the overflow bottle or rad.this is another way of showing a possible head gasket problem.white smoke indicates the burning of coolant.

White smoke out of exhaust

Regarding 2001 audi a6 quattro 2.7t....i was driving to work the car was fine then white smoke starting coming from under the hood and tail pipe. i stopped veilce and alot of oil was dripping from front of car. I towed it home and i looked under the hood and there was oil from valve cover gasket. i let the car sit for a few days, had it running again for a good hour and no white smoke was coming out. I removed the valve cover and gaskets are all bad. i want to know can the valve cover gasket leak cause the white smoke to come from exhaust pipe?

It blows white smoke out the tail pipe when i start it

You must have a leaking engine cylinder head gasket. Have a local shop confirm this for you as it is a very expensive repair.

White smoke occasionally coming out of my Altima tail pipes.

If there is no loss of Coolant, which is a sign of Head gasket failure to the combustion area, which generates white smoke, I would recommend after 4000 miles of your mileage alone, a complete Service of Engine Oil and filter, AIR filter and Fuel filter.
An inexpensive way to find a recurring combustion problem, At 60k miles, the Spark plugs should still be good, but pull them anyway, just to confirm.

Car has white smoke coming from tail pipe

sounds like a blown head gasket letting coolant get injected into the engine and getting burned with the fuel. a head gasket replacement should help

Car is hard to start, keeps stalling, white smoke coming out of tail pipe

It sounds to me like you have a head gasket leaking. See if you can get a gauge and check each cylinder. Are you using alot of anti freeze?
