Blower motor on 2002 Sebring inop

The fan does not come on at all for the blower for heat or a/c. Checked the blower fuses which are good. Where is the blower located and what would be the next step to take? No fan but there is warm air coming out once the vehicle is at temperature.

2002 acura running hot, Cooling fans are not comimg on and blower for A/C heater not working

Test both the cooling fan relay and the fuse (located under the hood and inside the control module box).

For the inop blower fan, test the switch if the fuse checks out.

Heater blower stopped working?

Hello,
You may want to try your fan on all speeds. If it will work on high, you have a bad resistor for the fan motor. ( high speed doesn't go through the resistor ).
If it doesn't work on any speed, I would check the following;
1. Make sure the fuse isn't blown for the fan blower motor.
2. Check, or have checked the wires between the fan control switch and the fan blower motor.
3. Have the fan control switch checked.
4. Have the fan blower motor checked.

I hope this helps you.

After this winter, the blower motor on my 2002 sebring convertible is vibrating terribly (shakes the rear view mirror on high) - how do I access and replace this?

Just go on the passengers side under the dash and remove the insulator panel to see the blower motor. What usually happens is when it gets cold out critters from outside will work their way into your car and make a nest in the blower motor fan. This throws the fan out of balance and hence the vibration.Once you can see the blower motor then remove it.There are 3 or 4 screws.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Where is the front fan resistor unit?

Look under the van,on the drivers side near the radiator,it should be in that area.Follow the wires from the fans, they should go right to the module. This is for the cooling fans for the radiator. For the resister module for the blower motor look near the blower motor in the blower box.It is near the blower fan.It can be under hood, but it will be mounted with two screws.Remove the two screws, but you need to remove the wire plug in first.Pull it out .It goes inside of the blower box.If you replace this module, replace the blower motor also, because the blower motor is what causes the resistor to burn out.Did you check voltage at fuse with key on?If you did not check the fuse with key on,you got a false reading. If you checked the fuse with key on,look for a bad ignition switch,or a fusible link burned into coming off a pos. terminal post where the battery cable goes to under the battery. If the blower will not work at all even on high blower, the resister most likely not the resistor. The blower motor relay is most likely the problem.

Blower motor inop

Run 12 volts directly to blower motor to see if motor will run, if it does, than its blower motor resister thats bad, if it don't run than its blower motor motor thats bad. Most likely its the resister, common problem.
