Bad gas or what, truck wont turn over.

I just watch my local news and found out that a area gas station mistakenly surplied customers with diesel gas while purchasering regular unleaded unforturely i bought some gas from one of the station less than two minutes after pulling off the truck(97 tahoe 5.7) cut off and refused to restart i thought maybe the fuel pump went out, so i replace it. not knowing the gas might be bad i put it back in the truck it started but would not idell correctly,it ran good while driveing but needed the gas pedal press at stops to stay from cuting off. i thought maybe o2 sensors, so i replaceed the down stream one. started it same problem by now the bad gas is gone. so the next day i go to start the truck wiht different gas it wont start. i buy the two more o2 sensors up stream but the truck still wont start any suggestion

!st off O2 sensors will not cause any kind of rough run just a check engine light, I suggest u get a sample of your fuel out of the tank using the fuel pump, if it smells like paint thinner or after setting has water in it u will need to drain the fuel tank, it sounds like u do have a tank of bad fuel based on the symtoms.

I put it 30 dollars of unleaded91 that was given to me from my mum an heard it was mixed with a bit of diesel gas put it into my 2005 Mazda premacy went down the road and the car started shaking an started...

The gas/diesel was in a can from your Mum or you bought the gas/diesel at a gas station ?
The station needs to be responsible if you bought a gas/diesel mix from them.
You will have to have it towed to a mechanic. The lines and tank will have to be emptied of diesel and flushed out. The plugs will need to be changed and it could have ruined your catalytic convertor.
My daughter did a similar thing to her car.
Bad news - it can be a very expensive fix if the cat. convertor is ruined.

C200 Merc 2009 model, engine turns but car wont start, why

same for all engines. (no engine stated, so no exact answers)
is your gas or diesel (ill guess gas)?
gasoline and not LPG or other fuels. real gas ,nor flex fuels on E100
cranks but no starts.
blown fuses, check fuses first, ( always #1 with EFI)
bad gas.,
the first check is spark , gas dont burn lacking SPark (mr,otto cycle)
watch funny guy SCOTTY.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=064Ilsz8Fzg&NR=1&feature=fvwp

any engine can run on test fuel, if it has spark (Otto)
some engines will never start
  1. lost compreesion 1 or more cylinders
  2. melted CAT converter, blocking exhaust
  3. EgR stuck open, wide, if your unstated engine has one.
  4. fuel pressure zero or 10psi. dead. must be at spec.

1986 ram 50 canadian 4 cylinder, turns over strong, wont start

To start out with. You left out some very important information. Like: the miles on the engine, the miles on the spark plugs, electronic ignition or points, but, I will attempt to give you some pointers and areas to check.
First off, I don't believe the rusty gas tank with the hole in it has anything to do with your problem. Dieseling... I guess you have to understand the differences between a gas engine and a diesel. Basically is: a gas engine runs on spark and a diesel runs on glow plugs and compression, lots of compression. True dieseling usually is a result of having a carbon build up inside your cylinders, usually on the valves. The carbon glows when it gets hot and when the engine turns over opening the intake valves it lets in fuel.Even when you shut the engine off it still makes a few turns, causing the intake valves to open letting in fuel and if there is carbon present and it's hot you may get dieseling. You also may experience what appears to be dieseling from having your timing off. It could be from having a timing chain "jump" a link, (alot of miles on the engine) or it could be from the distributer being out of time. Both may cause loss of power and the "appearance" of dieseling. It sounds like to me that you may have a lot of miles on this vehicle and it may be loosing compression thus causing the loss of power climbing hills. Loss of compression could be caused from worn rings, bad head gasket. The block section of the engine. Or: cracked, worn, or brokrn valves, the heads of the engine. Which may explain the dieseling. Bad plugs and bad plug wires can also result in the loss of power you are experiencing while climbing hills, but you would more than likely experience the engine missing, which you did not say you were experiencing.
You may want to check with a local salvage yard for another engine if the rest of the vehicle is "worth" saving or plan on doing a compression test and more than likely...some "heavy" wrenching and rebuils you engine.
I hope this helps you. If it does please let me know and put in a post about it.
Thanks!

Gas additives

Hello, Diesel Hi-test made by lubra-moly is a great additive for diesels but usually only found at some of your Mercedes diesel repair stations. Lucas also makes some good products.

If you find this information to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
