Jammed door lock 1995 camry driver side

A small spring was broken on the door lock assembly - I installed the lock in open position (minus the spring) but after opening the door a few times, it is now locked closed. Can not open it with key, inside lever and tried many times with a hanger wire etc. Any suggestions please !

There is a mother lock for all door and it is located to the driver side door. Maybe you need to replace it but if a electrician can do something about it to save money do so, but I highly recommend to replace the mother lock for hassel free.

I had the same problem with a Toyota truck, either the key is worn or the lock itself is, you can try slightly moving the key back and forth while turning it in the lock. Do not apply too much pressure or you'll risk snapping the key off. to fix the problem completely, I would try having a new key made, if that doesn't work, get new locks, have them keyed to match by a locksmith.

My 1995 camry xle v6 driver door wont unlock.

i just had this same problem. it was the lock assembly. the spring had broken on it and the lock was halfway unlocked and locked. so it would not move, therefor the door was stuck shut neither locked nor unlocked, but with no way to open it. so we had to manually unlock the door with a stick between the door panel and the window. then we were able to take off the whole door panel and fix the problem. but by this time, its probably easier just to buy a whole new door. hope it helps

The driver side door lock wont go all the way up.

The outside door handle spring is broke ,or the latch spring is broke. The only way to tell is remove the door panel and inspect the rod from the handle to latch. Look for broken spring on handle. I have installed an external spring from the handle rod to latch to keep the rod in the full up position.

what you have to do is make sure door lock is in unlocked position put a flash light inside the door to see you need to get a screwdriver into the release spring area try to pry up on the hook area that flips over the piece thats mounted to the door jam it should release sounds like you need to spray wd or blaster in the lock assembly return spring not kicking back
