I have a 06 pontiac g6 gt with a no start and i was wondering if the remote starter sends out a signal that would be not allowing the car to start? the check engin light is on. i bought my car used and it came with a special type of alarm that will allow the car not only to start remotly but will also make the car door lock in automatically within 15 seconds wether occupied or not and alarm go off if a special button on the alarm was not push before introducing key in the ignition. Recently my car started having problem where all the electric power will just go off with no warning and will stop the car from starting. the first time it happened i thought it was the battery and as soon as i was about to get it jump started, my helper leaned on the driver side door while i was trying to put the car on neutral and by him putting his weight on the car, it just started magically. Second time i unlocked my car and as i was about to start nothing, couldn't start it. i got out came back a few minutes later. the car started normally again,no jump start nothing. i am puzzled because i do not know what is causing it but i remembered couple years back a mechanic warned me that my remote car starter somewhere along the way will eventually interfer with my car starting. i guess it is happening now.
Yes that can be the issue. The remote needs reprogramming. But if that is not the case then, Car
not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can
be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it
can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or
no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition
coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned. To
confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required. Click

You need to get your remote staring system manual and reprogram it, or go to the brand web site of your remote system and get a manual. the worst that could hapen is that you will have to take it to your nearest audio, car alarm shop and ask them to disconect it.
