I can't find a fuel level sensor. Is it part of the fuel pump?
If I gather right your fuel gauge on your instrument panel is not working ,if this is the case your fuel sending unit ;i.e. (fuel level sensor ) is located in the fuel tank with the fuel pump
sorry for delay in response have u had ur sons car computer checked by a autoparts store or any mechanic and if so what was the codes ... if not need to have it checked most auto parts can do it free like anvance auto ..autozone o'rilleys... if you have fixed congrats and tell son ty for me for serving ..from a ex military guy

I had a 2001 and the transmission was not shifting correctly that was diagnosed as a speed sensor issue.
There is a speed sensor on the transmission, near the rear.
And there is a speed sensor on one of the front wheel hubs...
Tell me what the problem is?

remove the rear seat cusion, thare should be a cover under the cusion with 4 screws take these out and under should be the fuel pump.

First check all hoses and connections if these are leaking there should be a tell tale mark a bit like salt deposits. Also check round the engine as there could be a corroded core plug. Also, inspect the rad for possible leaks. another possibility is the water pump seal gone

fuel gauge works fine, just check engine light can't be on my sons car so he can ship it to his next deployment in hawaii
